In Autumn two, 3CS have been doing some really exciting learning about volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis.

We have made volcanoes out of mod roc, painted them and then we created our own eruption with them, using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar.

We learnt a special earthquake drill so that we would know exactly what to do if an earthquake occurred.

We also made our own tsunamis using compost and water.

In computing, we have retold the story of The Firework Maker's Daughter by programming characters on Scratch Junior to have a conversation. We also used the green screen app to recreate our own version of Newsround, reporting on either a volcano eruption, an earthquake or a tsunami.
